Featured Teacher Tuesday: Liana Davis + Fall FREEBIE

Hello everybody! I hope your October is not as hot as it is in Los Angeles and San Diego.  It's mid October, and we're still in the 90s and 100s. Enjoy a hot spice latte for us Southern California folk, because Lord knows we can't.

Anyways, every Tuesday I join with Heidi Martin from super sweet Droppin' Knowledge and 22 other 1st grader teacher bloggers to bring you a Featured Teacher Blog Linky. Every Tuesday for this year, we will be sharing about wonderful first grade teachers, and this week’s featured teacher is me!?! :)

So if you wanted to know about me, then this is the perfect post to read! My name is Liana Davis and I am living my dream as a first grade teacher. All my life, I have dreamt of teaching little kids to dream big and love learning, and my dream has been a reality for 4 years now! I teach with the core concept of providing social justice to students that were just like me when I was a child. An immigrant, a non-native English speaker, and from a family that lived modestly.
I know that every student has the capacity to learn, and I try to harness that ability to see my students shine. To read more about my teaching philosophy, you can read it here.

Only two of my 4 years teaching have been in the first grade, but I couldn’t imagine teaching anything else. I love the unscripted feel of first grade.  Besides first, I've also taught Kindergarten and high school English.

I'm also a newlyed, and I got married in January 2015 to my college/bible study sweetheart.  If you would like to see pictures from our wedding, click here.
At that time, I was teaching high school English, and I didn’t spend quite as much time cutting, pasting, and creating fun activities for a primary classroom.  With so much free time on my hands, March 2015, I decided to sell on TPT. I was always creating for my classroom, and I thought why not share them with the world!

If you know me, then you know that I never sit still, much like every other teacher who takes on the task of teaching full time, blogging about it, and creating products for Teachers Pay Teachers. To find my store, click here.

Other than teaching, blogging, and TPT, I love to spend time with my family in Los Angeles, and explore my new city with my new husband in San Diego.

My most popular product is the Book Report for Grades 1-3.
This Fall Product will be a freebie until next Tuesday, so get it while you can! :)
